Enhance Your Smile with Dental Veneers
What to expect when getting veneers?
-
First meeting and treatment: Before proceeding with dental veneers, we will conduct a consultation to assess your dental health, oral function, and desired smile appearance. We will also discuss your smile goals and treatment expectations. It is important to address any periodontal issues or tooth decay in the relevant teeth before creating the veneers. However, the actual veneer procedure is relatively quick.
-
Preparing teeth and taking impressions: The amount of tooth preparation required for porcelain veneers may vary depending on the case and type of veneer. However, we strive to minimize the removal of tooth structure from the front and sides to achieve a natural and strong look. Once the teeth are prepared, we take an impression and select a porcelain shade. The veneers are then custom-made at a dental laboratory. In the meantime, temporary veneer facings are used to cover the teeth until the permanent ones are ready.
-
Fitting and placement: After your veneers are prepared, it is important to ensure their fit, size, shade, and shape. Necessary adjustments will be made to ensure an accurate fit and the most pleasing appearance. We will also make sure you are satisfied with the appearance of your new smile. Once the veneers are fitted and approved, the relevant teeth will be cleaned and the veneers will be permanently bonded using composite resin cement. If any further adjustments or refinements are needed, they will be done after the placement.
